Antero
Antero was from the beginning hired as a painter, but since he liked so much working at Terça he quickly made sure he became indispensable at the farm by learning also to take care of the horses. Antero has become our all-in-one-person and he is just as good with the horses as he is with painting, woodwork, driving the horse truck, and interpret when the Portuguese language gets to difficult for us Swedish born. Every morning you can hear the clatter from Antero’s motorbike when he comes driving to Terça from the neighboring village Lagoa where he lives with his wife and their two children. If he gets some spare time he does like most Azorean men do and goes to the local pub for a talk and a beer with the fellows. At his day of, Antero likes to go fishing by the ocean. If the catch is good, everybody at Terça will get delicious fresh fish for dinner that day. |
