Nelson

Nelson Bothelho is born and raised in São Miguel and has been working here at Terça since June 2006. He has studied for three years at the royal riding school of Alter Real in Lisbon, where he became a riding instructor, horse trainer, and a dressage judge. Together with Karen  and Lise he trains the horses at the farm, gives lessons, and does guided trail rides. Nelsons biggest interest at the side of horses is dancing, preferably to Latin American rhythms. Apparently indefatigable he whirls around singing in dance after dance as soon as an opportunity is given. Even in the stables you risk getting a dance with him sometimes, with the pitchfork in one hand and Nelson in the other. The rest of his free time he spends with tending to his five dogs of various breed and size.
